Meet the nominees of Lagazuoi WIMA2025

Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards 2025: Celebrating Innovation in the Mountains

The jury of experts and journalists has chosen the most innovative projects in the world of the mountains.

Join us at the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:30 pm, to discover the three winners.

 

Cortina d'Ampezzo, March 17, 2025 – The jury of experts and journalists gathered to select the top proposals from the three competing categories.

The next event will take place on Saturday, March 29, at 2:30 pm, in the futuristic setting of the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti,  2732 meters above Cortina d'Ampezzo. There, the names of the three overall winners will be revealed.

The official award ceremony will kick off the permanent exhibition, open until March 2026, showcasing the winners and finalists of this year's competition.

The sixth edition of the Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards, a unique curatorial project by Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti, has received numerous proposals. This initiative focuses on innovative and sustainable ideas related to the mountain world.

The finalists:

In the category 'Mountain Equipment and Clothing'

Cut-Resistant ®, the cut-resistant ski undergarment, featuring a patented emergency opening system, is produced by Energiapura in Tezze sul Brenta, in the province of Vicenza.

E-poles, the walking poles with a digital tracking system that monitors motor parameters, crafted by Gabel in Bassano del Grappa, Vicenza.

Re-skiboot and re-shoes, a project that breathes new life into end-of-life equipment, creating innovative mountain boots and trekking shoes. This initiative is a result of the innovative recycling projects developed by RE-SPORT in Bologna.

For the 'Services and Apps' category

AlpineSafe, a communication campaign for mountain safety, was created by Laura Farkas during her university studies to raise public awareness on the topic of high-altitude safety.

Appennini for all, the innovative start-up by Mirko Cipollone, based in Cese di Avezzano in the province of L'Aquila, specializes in environmental tourism for people with motor, sensory, and cognitive disabilities. This initiative aims to make the mountains accessible to those who, on their own, cannot fully enjoy their beauty.

Ermellino, the digital support system developed by Arsenal Engineering in Mirano, Venice, is worn on the forearm like a watch. It allows you to safely experience high altitudes, especially in emergency situations.

For the 'Mountain Gastronomy Industry' category

Christian Forte's nomadic and organic beekeeping company, located at 1440 meters in the province of Belluno, has selected Carniolan queen bees to produce premium organic single-flower honey.

Is Femminas, a Sardinian restaurant run entirely by women, offers traditional recipes using products from Seulo, a village situated at 797 meters above sea level. This village is known for being one of the few places in the world where people live longer and healthier lives.

Refill & Taste, a project by the Dolomites Cheese Route, aims to promote conscious water consumption through the international Refill App, which maps out around 120 refill points in the Dolomite valleys. The initiative seamlessly integrates with Cheesenic, offering a basket of local products from participating establishments.
