Full Professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics (DAIS), Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Since 2021 he has been coordinator of the three-year degree course Hospitality Innovation and e-Tourism.
His main research activities concern the areas of Explainable AI, Data Mining, Information Retrieval and Large-Scale Data Processing.

She has designed and led several formats, including Pink&Green (pinkandgreen.it) and Planet Art Camp. Her personal interests include botany, theatre and cinema. A passionate reader, she reads at least twenty books a year. She lives and works in Milan, where she travels daily by bicycle, as she has "always" done.

Emanuele Bompan is an environmental journalist and geographer specialising in circular economy, climate change, water management, food security, energy, sustainable mobility, green economy and US politics. He is editor-in-chief of Materia Rinnovabile – Renewable Matter, the first international magazine dedicated to the circular economy and the bioeconomy. He collaborates with various publications, including National Geographic, Il Sole 24 Ore, Lifegate and Oltremare. He is the author of numerous volumes, including Atlante geopolitico dell'Acqua (Hoepli, 2019), Watergrabbing – Le guerre nascoste per l'acqua del XXI secolo (EMI, 2018), Economia Circolare (Ed. Ambiente, 2016) and Bioarchitettura (Hachette, 2013). During his career, he has received important awards, including the European Meteorological Society Journalism Award (2024), the support of the Google DNI News Initiative (2016), four IDR Grants from the European Journalism Center, the Middlebury Environmental Journalism Fellowship, and was named Journalist for the Earth in 2015. He has carried out reports in 83 countries, both as a journalist and as an analyst, and has extensive experience in the issues of international cooperation and the environment. He collaborates with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and, thanks to his doctorate in geography, offers advice to ministries, foundations, think tanks and clean-tech incubators.

A professional with extensive experience in the banking sector, Mauro Toti began his career in 1989 at Banca Popolare di Bergamo and later at UBI, where he developed solid skills in Retail Banking, Corporate Banking and Private Banking. In 2021, he joined the BPER Group as Area Manager, and currently holds the role of Executive and Head of North-East Lombardy at BPER Banca Private Cesare Ponti, with responsibility for coordinating and managing the regional area.
Born in Cortina d’Ampezzo, where he currently lives, he is an engineer by profession. For several years he was engaged in municipal development and Institutional Building in various developing countries for NGOs, the World Bank, FAO and other organisations. He went on to become involved in the development of tourism in the mountains; he is a consultant at international level for the planning and development of ski resorts. He designed, planned and co-ordinated the creation of the Lagazuoi, Sasso di Stria and 5 Torri Great War Open-air Museum.
The designer of the Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti, conceived as a means of valorising and promoting the values and culture of the mountains, currently is the president of the Cortina Delicious Consortium, councillor and CEO of various ski lift societies and consortiums in the Dolomites.
