OUTRIGHT WINNER

Foremyc - Radicati nel futuro

Motivations behind the award

The jury recognised the project as having a significant element of innovation and a strong ability to interpret the challenges related to the protection of Alpine forests in a contemporary way.

The forest monitoring system developed by Foremyc helps foresters understand, protect and regenerate vegetation threatened by climate change, by creating a digital twin of the forest ecosystem.

Foremyc also opens up important economic, social and territorial prospects, thanks to the creation of a constantly evolving technological ecosystem capable of generating new perspectives for forest management.

SPECIAL MENTION

Arte Dolomiti (Chamber music, opera, exhibitions, experiences)

Motivations behind the award

Appreciated for its ability to enrich the cultural offering of the mountain area in an original way. The initiative is, in fact, the first example in Italy and one of the very few cases in Europe of the integration of hotel hospitality and high-level cultural offerings in the mountains, through chamber music concerts, opera and art exhibitions open not only to the hotel's guests, but to the entire local community. The role of the cultural manager in the hotel was also assessed as an innovative element. The project's strong social impact was also highlighted, as it creates opportunities for meeting, participation and cultural sharing that are accessible free of charge to the public in the valley, with a perspective that could potentially be replicated in other mountain contexts.

Aut-Lab Scarpinocc Inclusivi e Solidali

Motivations behind the award

The very high social, human and territorial value of the initiative has been recognised. The project is the result of the direct commitment of the members, parents of autistic children, who have created a workshop with the aim of offering real opportunities for work and social inclusion to young people with disabilities. The strong ethical character of the project, developed without the support of public funding, was appreciated. Over the years, the workshop has grown both in the production of gastronomic specialities from the upper Val Seriana area, and in its ability to involve and employ new young people, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed model in a mountain context where services of this type are extremely rare.
