Foremyc is a modular system that stems from our degree thesis and a genuine connection to the mountains.
We work in the Alpine and pre-Alpine forests, where the effects of extreme climate and ecological imbalances are accelerating the deterioration of trees and causing difficulties for those who live in and manage these areas.The project combines field devices and a digital platform to collect environmental and biological signals and transform them into useful, readable and continuous indicators.
The goal is to anticipate stress and support faster, more informed operational decisions, moving from “emergency” management to prevention. Our impact is first and foremost environmental: we want to increase the resilience of forests, reduce the loss of biodiversity and improve the ability to respond to extreme events.
But it is also social, as we want to protect an asset that supports local communities, jobs and culture in fragile areas. Looking ahead, the data collected feeds a digital twin of the ecosystem, designed not as a theoretical exercise but as a practical tool for those working in the area.
